Chen, a Salesforce and Copado alum, joins Dashlane as the company pushes beyond password management to solve businesses’ most critical credential security challenges
Dashlane is thrilled to welcome security leader Joanna Chen as our new Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). With her extensive experience across high-growth start-ups and global enterprises, Chen will play a key role in the Dashlane credential security platform’s next stage of evolution.
“At a time of increasing global uncertainty, ensuring organizations have complete confidence in the security tools protecting their corporate ecosystems has never been more important,” said John Bennett, Chief Executive Officer at Dashlane. “Joanna’s deep security knowledge and experience in leading global security programs will be essential in driving our continued growth as we deliver the credential security that every business and user needs to thrive.”
As Dashlane expands its credential security platform to help IT and security teams meet the challenges of today’s evolving threat landscape, Chen’s leadership will help the company maintain the highest standards of security and privacy, both internally and for every customer.
“Dashlane is trusted by millions of users worldwide because security and privacy are at the heart of everything we do," said Chen. “This security-first ethos is paramount when it comes to protecting credentials, and it’s why I’m excited to join Dashlane in building a best-in-class solution that addresses the complex challenges that businesses worldwide face today.”
Before joining Dashlane, Chen served as the Head of Security at Copado, a DevOps platform with a billion-dollar valuation, where she oversaw product security, security operations, and compliance.
Prior to Copado, Chen spent over 12 years with Salesforce in engineering and security, collaborating with teams across the globe to drive key security outcomes.
Chen holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. She lives in Paris, France and loves to spend her free time exploring all the city has to offer.
Chen’s appointment follows Dashlane’s signing of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) Secure by Design pledge, a voluntary commitment by software companies to prioritize customer security as a core business requirement.
