Introducing Dashlane Support for MacBook Pro Touch Bar

We’re excited to announce Dashlane with Touch Bar support for Apple’s latest line of MacBook Pro laptops!

Apple revolutionized the way we use our MacBooks by launching the Touch Bar, an interactive Retina strip display located at the top of the keyboard that adapts based on your activity on the main screen.

With Dashlane and Touch Bar support, all your passwords are now just one touch away. Here’s a preview of what you can expect:

One-Touch Login

Quickly Add, Edit, Change, and Share Passwords

From the Touch Bar, you can add new passwords, change passwords with Password Changer, share passwords, and search for a credential within Dashlane.

Manage Work and Personal Credentials in Spaces

If you’re a member of a Dashlane Business team, simply tap the Spaces icon to view credentials in your work or personal Space.

One-Tap Auto Login

Log into your favorite websites with lightning speed using the Touch Bar! Dashlane will display your frequently used websites right at your fingertips.

Search for Passwords Faster

Find the credentials you want, when you need them. Use Dashlane’s filtering options to view passwords in grid or list view, search for credentials by name, category, and usage on Touch Bar.

Effortlessly Share and Change Passwords

When you open a saved credential, your Touch Bar will display options to go to the website, copy the password to your clipboard, and share the credential.

Customize Your Touch Bar Experience

With Touch Bar, you can also customize Dashlane’s default shortcuts to optimize your workflow. For instance, you can add “Copy login”, remove the Share button, or rearrange the order of the shortcuts in your Touch Bar.

To customize your Touch Bar settings for Dashlane, open the app, tap the Dashlane tab, select “Customize Touch Bar”, and you’ll see all of the available shortcuts. Then, simply drag and drop your favorite shortcuts down to the Touch Bar to use them.

Additional Features to Optimize Your MacBook Experience

Touch Bar support is just one of the many ways we’re optimizing the Dashlane experience for MacBook users. During our first Express Day–a mini hackathon aimed at completing projects and features in less than 24 hours that can be released in the next update–Dashlane Engineers created fully-functional features to improve the user experience on Mac devices.

For instance, MacBook users will now have access to an in-app Password Generator tool and enjoy improvements to our search algorithm for more accurate in-app search results.
